Throughout his career Michael has worked with leaders in business, politics and philanthropy. He founded Group Gordon seeing a need in the market for a firm that excelled both strategically and tactically. His clients are among the most influential financial institutions, law firms, real estate companies and philanthropies, including Tilson Funds, Hudson Clean Energy Partners, Schulte Roth & Zabel, Acumen Fund, the Ford Foundation, International Federation of Accountants, and many others.
Before beginning his career in corporate PR, Michael served in the Clinton Administration as spokesperson for Attorney General Janet Reno during the President's second term. He worked in the Administration's first term as a special assistant on elementary and secondary education policy.
Michael is a frequent guest on CNBC, CNN and FOX on corporate and crisis communications matters, and he has been featured in The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Daily Beast, USA Today, and other leading outlets. He serves on the boards of the Penn Fund, the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition, ADL Connecticut and his local Federation. A former attorney with Skadden, Arps, Michael earned J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Columbia University and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
